As if being an absolutely talented singer wasn’t enough, Shalini also shines in being an imaginative songwriter and an astonishing pianist. Her music influences range from Dance, Electronica, Rock, Metal, Jazz, World, Classical, Popular, Classic Indian and Bolllywood...take that mainstream! 

Shalini discovered the love for performing at the tender age of 8, where she was the youngest student to join the school choir. Shalini led the entire harmony section and by the age of 10 knew over a hundered classic songs from the 60's and 70's by artists including John Lennon, Sting and the Beach Boys. Studying classical and jazz piano since she was 3 years old with the Royal Conservatory of Music, Shalini now holds a grade 10 with first class honors.   Shalini also took home a Music Academic award for performance and her thirst for knowledge and performance education led her to receiving a full time acting diploma at SchoolCreative. 

With her incredible work-ethic and growing musical genius it’s no wonder she’s a musical rarity.

The next step for the talented songstress is her debut album, described as a “hi-fi” musical experience meshing sounds and introducing beats like music-heads have never heard before.

Vancouver-bred, desi singing, producing wunderkind, Mali is a rising star in the music game and inarguably the most exciting thing going in bhangra right now.

His influences range from Dr. Dre’s hard hitting hip-hop beats to Gurdass Mann’s traditional Indian ballads.

He has been stamping his name on the music scene with production, song writing and singing credits for Delhi 2 Dublin, Raghav, Reminisce and Signia among others. With an album scheduled to release in 2009, Mali has bhangra heads and publications eagerly anticipating the debut release.

Using Indian influences, hip-hop beats and world sounds his goal is to introduce an absolutely original sound that artists want to work with and producers are forced to imitate. Since his musical inception, Esjay has produced original songs and white label remixes for Signia, 50 Cent, Raghav, Delhi 2 Dublin, Dj Reminisce, Shalini and Justin Timberlake. 

"...Music is supposed to be about expression and originality not formulas and business. There has to be some type of movement by the masses to fight the status quo and thats what my music is all about, allowing musicians to reach the masses without having to compromise originality..." 

His musical influences range from Ryan Leslie, Kanye West and Timbaland to Rishi Rich, Gurdass Mann and A.R. Rahman. Currently, he is busy in the studio working with artists looking to push the boundaries and create something fresh and innovative. In addition to producing albums for Mali and Shalini, Esjay has plans to begin production on his own album sometime in 2009.
