Vancouver/Victoria based rapper Quixotic has dropped his debut mixtape which includes 9 heavy tracks for hip heads across the globe.  The name of the mixtape “Quix-ot-ic: Impulsive and often rashly unpredictable!” describes the musically diverse collection of songs perfectly. The positive lyrical content and progressive flow show the rapper’s progression from his previous work.

With Vancouver producing more and more good artists, Quixotic is  looking to use strong lyrics, diverse flow and knowledge of the game to separate himself.

For the mixtape, he worked with the talented Vancouver based singer, Jerrica Santos, as well as up and coming producers “Get Right Music“. He also has four songs produced by Esjay, a DJ Premier beat (which he kills with an awesome hip hop vibe), and a song called “Contagious” which features an instrumental  by Chin Injeti.

The artwork for the mixtape was designed by Karun Sahota. The two worked back and forth between Surrey and Victoria to come up with a style that would fit the album. Karun captures the raw, creative sound the mixtape brings with a vibrant eye catching design.

Check out some visuals from the mixtape:

First, a video for “Brooklyn Bells” shot by the talented Vancouver based videographer Jimmy Sira

Second, a promo for “Time” shot by, up-and-coming director, Vikaash Prasaad from ThinkVik
