The Vancouver/Surrey based Punjabi singer is working hard, gearing up to put his album out in 2012. So, we thought we would put together a collection his songs to get a taste of what the upcoming album might offer.
“Mali – The Demos” includes 6 tracks by Mali. The tracks show the artist’s progression as a writer, singer and producer in the lead-up to his debut album. The mixtape also features local singing talent Shivangi Bhayana who is set to release her own album this year as well. The Hindi vocalist lends her voice to the track Neele Nain which can be heard here:
Mali’s debut album will include music production by both Mali & Esjay (among other possible producers) so expect a variety of hard-hitting, progressive bhangra beats. About the album Mali says “It’s something I’ve been working on for a long time now … more than anything I’ve been working on my skill-set to achieve the right sound, one I can be happy with for my debut album. I promise it won’t disappoint. It’ll be something new, something fun, and something exciting.”
Mali plans to release new music and visuals in the lead up to his album.
“The Debut”, set to release in 2012, will feature Mali’s singing, writing and producing skills.
