Kanye West’s “Good Fridays” project was more than just putting a song out every week for 14 weeks straight, it was about work ethic, consistency, collaboration, talent and the hunger to want the championship more than anyone else.
Inspired by Kanye, Desi Method started “DMeth Saturdays” and collaborated to release a new song every week, on their website and facebook fan page, for 15 weeks straight. The project featured collaborations between Vancouver based artists Esjay, Mali, Sze, Shalini, Shivangi Bhayana, Quixotic, and ThinkVik with everyone pitching in to perform vocals, produce music, and create art.
The result of the 15 weeks of work included 15 different pieces of artwork by Sze, a total of 14 songs and a mixtape with music production by Esjay, photography by Vikaash Prasaad and awesome music by Mali, Shalini, Shivangi and Quixotic.
